Corporate Finance Associate [Mid-Level] @ Premier Practice Leader

Overview

Whistler Partners is partnering with a corporate finance group looking to add a mid-level associate with 3–5 years of experience in debt capital markets and/or commercial finance.

The practice focuses on borrower- and issuer-side finance work, including single-lender and syndicated credit facilities, venture lending transactions, leveraged buyouts, convertible notes, high-yield and investment-grade note offerings, and other structured financial instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise clients on debt capital markets, commercial finance, and related corporate finance transactions.
• Support borrower- and issuer-side matters involving single-lender and syndicated credit facilities.
• Work on venture lending transactions, leveraged buyouts, convertible notes, high-yield notes, investment-grade note offerings, and structured financial instruments.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financing documents and related transaction materials.
• Coordinate with clients, partners, and deal teams on active corporate finance matters.
• Manage deal process and execution in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Top Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in debt capital markets and/or commercial finance.
• Borrower- or issuer-side experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with single-lender and syndicated credit facilities.
• Experience with venture lending transactions, leveraged buyouts, convertible, high-yield, and investment-grade notes, or structured financial instruments preferred.
• Superior academic credentials.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation

• $260,000–$365,000 base salary, based on class year.
• Discretionary merit bonuses may also be awarded.
